Frequently Asked

4 questions
Do you offer an API?
Not yet. We are exploring options for a structured API for educational and engineering integrations. If this is a critical need, please contact us — early adopters help us prioritize.
Can I embed Units Converter on my site?
Iframe embedding is currently not enabled, but we are happy to discuss licensing arrangements for educational, government, and enterprise customers.
How do you handle unit definitions that change over time?
When BIPM redefines an SI unit (the 2019 redefinition of the kilogram, for example), we update our reference values within the same publication week. Older redefinitions are documented in the affected unit pages.
Why does my answer differ from another website?
Many calculators use simplified or rounded conversion factors. We use the full-precision NIST/BIPM values and round only at display. If you find a genuine discrepancy with an authoritative source, please email us — we will investigate and document the resolution publicly.

Other Ways to Reach the Team

For most users, email is the right channel. We do not currently maintain phone support, social media DMs, or live chat — these would compromise the response quality our users have come to expect.
